I also saw that message before. Even on BL6 installation. I was surprised and pretty confused. If my memory serves me, I ignored it and continued the process but I ended up with no boot. I had to recover grub with running live session and using repair-grub application.

Hello, I tested the installation process of Lubuntu 22.04 (so exactly the same Ubuntu base as Bodhi) on this same HDD to compare it to Bodhi. Lubuntu uses the Calamares installer. At the time of choosing the installation partition, it showed me an information window suggesting that I use GPT partitioning combined with a small bios-grub partition of 8 MB instead of mbr partitioning to obtain better performance... Advice that I did not follow because I have other linux distros already installed on this disk. Apart from the appearance of this window, the rest of the installation took place without the slightest hitch. The information contained in this window is much less traumatic for a beginner than that displayed by Ubiquity, which directly evokes the impossibility of restarting the pc, it can be scary!
Suggestion : Would it be really complicated and time-consuming to grab the Calamares packages from Lubuntu 22.04 and integrate them into Bodhi Linux instead of Ubiquity?

I personally think it is late for this change. As far as I know Ylee is doing last work before releasing BL7 RC version which can became official in case of no serious problems. Who knows, maybe BL8 could bring Calamares.

Yes it would complicate things and may be time consuming. Someone would need to figure out how to make a slideshow work with Calamares and then update our ubiquity-slideshow-bodhi pkg code. This someone would probably end up being me and would involve an unknown amount of time doing research and altering our code and package. It may be trivial and probably is or it may be sorta a big hassle. I do not know without looking at it.

It can be a trivial task. For Escuelas Linux 64-bit, from the decision to use Calamares to have a working pilot took us about two hours, tops. However, we relied heavily on our experience from implementing Calamares for our 32-bit, Debian-based version; figuring out how things work that first time certainly was not piece of cake for us.
If you decide to test Calamares, I suggest also installing calamares-settings-lubuntu package, as this would give you a working configuration to start experimenting with, and it will let you have an idea of how to port the ubiquity-slideshow-bodhi contents to this new home.
In a default configuration, /etc/calamares/modules/packages.conf removes Calamares from an installed system and can be added to that file any other package, just like filesystem.manifest-remove.

Since this is a warning that was reported and not an error and the installation was successful, I don't regard this as a real issue. Maybe confusing to Newbies but overall Ubiquity is easy to use and does the job. Covers most user cases. It seems that this warning is a normal behaviour of the Ubiquity installer, as discussed here: ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2473650
