My apturl script should not fail for packages dpkg reports as rc. Surprising no one noticed this on the testing ISOs, unless for some reasons they did not have this issue. Anyway regardless apturl-saf in the BL6.0 repo should resolve this issue. I didn't until just recently as I had been using Chromium and thought it was an isolated issue when I attempted to install Firefox - but yes, I should have reported; sorry Team! I'll be more vigilant and attempt to second guess my observations less.
Thank you, ylee!

The 5.11.x kernel is just around the corner as HWE kernel for Ubuntu 20.04 ... When it arrives in the repo's of Focal, will the iso of Bodhi 6's HWE Release be respun with it? Might be desirable because of support for brand-new hardware.... Interesting, I had not considered that but I certainly could.

Useful information! Thanks. I must say: Bodhi is currently perhaps the finest featherweight Linux distro. Certainly the finest featherweight that *I* know. Smartly targeted editions, carefully selected default applications. And last but not least: looking good out of the box.

A pure enlightenment release is planned and will be released in the new few days. Sorry about that. This announcement is slightly premature as I intended to do it after the creation of the 'pure e' ISO.
Hello
Any news on that front?

I still plan an enlightenment release. I ran into issues with getting e and efl to compile and a now-needed package not in Ubuntu's repos. To make matters worse the package has dependencies not in Ubuntu repos and those have dependencies not in the repos I have also had other things going on trying to help AstroBoy make an ISO based on BL6 for his Distro as well as an odd bug in Moksha with pt.po vs pt_BR.po and not getting the locale right for moksha if you want pt and not pt_BR. I am also busy in the real world for the next few days, but I will get back to trying to deal with enlightenment, as soon as possible.

Is there any news on the 32-bit debian based replacement for the outgoing 'bionic' ubuntu-based release? I know it is still a little cracker, and valied for a couple more years...:-) Best wishes, stay safe.

The 5.11.x kernel has arrived in the Focal repos, as successor for the 5.8.x, which is nearing EOL.... Interesting fact (but perhaps too risky for a potential respun HWE iso): when you first enable the reliable Canonical Kernel Team PPA, you can even get the 5.13.x kernel, simply by installing the meta package linux-oem-20.04c.

Hello
About the kernel. I had videocard issues with the 5.4 kernel of 6.0 on my most powerful laptop. Using Ukuu I've tried to install the last available kernel (5.13) but it didn't work. Subsequently Ukuu has removed all newer kernels from the list of potential "candidates" so I was left with 5.6.17 (?) as last; it didn't work either.
Before changing the kernels (on E24 version of 6.0) I suspected from the start a kernel issue, but tried both the Moksha and E24 to be sure and had same outcome.
Since 5.1 worked on this recent 3 year old laptop I've tried the last 4.X kernel available (4.18-20) and now it works. The cause is the videocard (crappy Nvidia Geforce MX130).
Is it possible Ylee to include the 5.11 kernel on the E24 ISO so I can try to run a recent kernel?
Thank you!

Hello About the kernel. I had videocard issues with the 5.4 kernel of 6.0 on my most powerful laptop. Using Ukuu I've tried to install the last available kernel (5.13) but it didn't work. One should never use UKUU for that purpose.... UKUU (Ubuntu Kernel Update Utility) and its fork Ubuntu Mainline Kernel Installer are useful for one goal only: testing new mainline kernels. So far, so good. But don't abuse them: the mainline kernels they offer are not supported by Bodhi or Ubuntu, and are not appropriate for everyday use. The mainline kernels from UKUU and Mainline aren't reliable enough for normal use. Furthermore: as these are pure "vanilla" upstream kernels (built using Ubuntu kernel configuration files), they do not include any Ubuntu/Mint-specific drivers or patches, nor any proprietary modules or restricted binary drivers. Even if you know how to boot from an older kernel in case of kernel failure: you risk losing important work because of an unstable and unreliable kernel. Even worse things may happen: for example, certain mainline kernels of the 4.19 series corrupted EXT4 filesystems, which caused irrecoverable data loss. Finally: if you're into testing of new mainline kernels (bug hunting for the guys at kernel.org?), Bodhi's very own mintupdate can help you do that just as easily as third-party stuff like UKUU. See the Expert tab in the Preferences of Bodhi's mintupdate. But in this case you can even install the 5.11.x kernel with mintupdate without bothering with the risky Expert tab, because the 5.11.x kernel has already arrived in the official repo's of Ubuntu (and therefore also in Bodhi). To be exact: the 5.11.0-22-generic (which is a renumbered upstream 5.11.21, because Ubuntu does its own minor version numbering, which differs from kernel.org). Simply launch the kernel tool that comes with mintupdate. Clickety-click and Bob's your uncle.

I could try mintupdate. How can I actually install it?
Just so you don't miss this info I'm on E24 version which probably has other sources than Moksha.
Mintupdate is not "locatable".

OK.... First try this (which should give you mintupdate, its Kernel Manager and Timeshift): sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends mintupdate timeshift If that doesn't succeed, then this should work: easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/ubuntuplus.html#ID3.1(item 3.1)
