I am happy to announce the release of bodhi-6.0.0-64-rc.iso. There have been some tweaks and improvements to Moksha mostly due to Štefan's diligence. for the record the Moksha version on this ISO has not made its way to the repo yet, it has two experimental improvements mentioned in the previous thread. I have made some changes to the ISO itself and now include a language selection tool to aide international users as well as a few language packs preinstalled. You are free to uninstall this if you don't need it. Also I ensure that for non english users folders in the users home folder have fully localized names. Desktop Icons should show for the installer in all languages. The menu system has been reworked and reorganized. Leafpad and ePhoto both have been patched to fix some issues we have noted.

Great news. 2 things should be done: update the site (bodhilinux.com) with this news and send the announcement to distrowatch (enigma9o7 ?!). For a better impact maybe wait a bit with the distrowatch as the deluge of Ubuntu flavors is about to follow (Ubuntu 21.04 has just been released today).
Looking forward to try the rc this week-end.

Clicking "Release Notes" during the installer (on system with 1GB) still appears to cause the system to hang, given in three minutes so far.
edit: 5 minutes later:
and chromium still appears to be opening itself over the shelf.

Chromium is still the only browser, but not set as default (live).

The RC is great! The improvements are noticeable. Some remarks:
1. The app center (web page) can be set to Dutch, but its current Dutch text needs improvement. How can I help to improve it, i.e. do you have a link to where I can do the new Dutch translation?
2. ephoto isn't Dutch localized. Can you give me the link where I can start translating?

Gave up on first attempt from live and tried direct from menu. Just an observation; wasn't their wallpaper there before? Or maybe I'm remembering wrong...

How can I help to improve it, i.e. do you have a link to where I can do the new Dutch translation? 2. ephoto isn't Dutch localized. Can you give me the link where I can start translating? Our appcenter is wordpress and I have no idea how you changed it to Dutch. In fact our wiki and blog and all that is wordpress. Wordpress can of course do that but I see no language plugin installed. Are you sure you are referring to the Appcenter? It would be nice to have all that localized. I will have to talk to the web dev team about it and see if they can set that up. Have to get back to you on that. Currently ephoto seems to be unmaintained. No one can get ahold of the devs that created it. They have not been answering email and appear to have dropped out of e-dev stuff completely. In fact I patched it because it has not been working right lately. I decided it was either patch it or drop from the default install. The BL5 version has an issue too, but I have not managed to fix that and am not wasting any more time on it. I have the BL6 version working well enough to please me. I know of other issues also but they are not 'show breaking' anyway ... But the code itself is on e-git: ephoto. You can create a po file for it if you wish and email to me. I can certainly add it to Bodhi's version and try to see if Netstar or Raster will commit to e-git. Raster has flat out said he is not going to take over maintenance of the code, it is not his project and suggested Štefan and I do it. If only he knew how overworked we already are. I would think he would have an idea because he also is in the same boat. I do however have about 4 or 5 commits I could make to ephoto but don't want to add ephoto maintenance to the list of stuff I already have to do. It is not my project either. I like the program and would hate to see it go so its future is up in the air. I can try to make sure I keep it working with future EFL changes but I not going to do anything heroic to do so. As to its translations it looks like it needs alot of languages really. So sure translate it into Dutch if you wish.

Thunar is using "system-file-manager" icon. This is the same icon used for "Places" in the start menu and "Files" in the Settings Panel. This means an icon theme cannot set icon for thunar without messing up start menu and settings panel.
Possible Solution #1 (workaround): Change desktop file for thunar to use another name Possible Solution #2 (fix but more work): Change Moksha or Places Module or Start Menu Module or something so they use different icon names.

I tested qbitorrent and noticed it isn't using assigned theme. I decided to investigate a bit. From command line it reports unable to set qt style override to gtk2. I saw bodhi 6 sets the qt_style_override=gtk2 environment variable. Solution: Install qt5-gtk2-platformtheme
That, combined with that environment variable, make qt apps follow gtk2 theme! So I suggest adding that package if its not too late for additions before stable. Tested on qbitorrent, vlc, virtualbox, obs and made them all use assigned theme.

Actually QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE is improperly set in the Bodhi Profile, I will fix that and add QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME which should also be set. I will have to do the same to the ISO profile ... this is a reminder to myself. It seems qt5-gtk2-platformtheme has been installed in past version of Bodhi so yes I will add that.
