Only one outstanding issue and that is the Lightdm autologin, if that is checked during installation it does not work during first boot but will on any later boots. For reasons still not clear to me I can't reproduce this issue. Maybe because I install BL70-alpha5 without network connection.

As I think I noted above installed chromium from synaptic and added ublock origin (all on alpha 4) which all works fine. Apologies if I have misinterpreted the above post. We are referring to the fact that if one installs bodhi's chromium package and the package webext-ublock-origin-chromium, then chromium fails to recognize the ublock-origin extension. The ublock-origin extension works fine manually installed in the user's home directory. I took another look at this and noticed: To use this extension you enable it manually. 1. Install 2. Go to the extensions menu in chromium 3. Enable Developer Mode 4. Choose 'Load unpacked extension' The unpacked extension is located in /usr/share/chromium/extensions/ublock-origin It will tell you there have been errors. Specifically You can safely ignore this as this is an upstream problem (ublock-origin needs to update their code) and because this proposed change to Manifest version 3 has not taken place yet and has been postponed. see the Chromium mailing list. Despite the fact Debian which still has chromium in the repos as a deb file the webext-ublock-origin-chromium package works fine and it appears to be the same package, I am considering manually enabling the extension as noted above closes this issue. Perhaps Debian compiles or packages Chromium somewhat differently than I do. For the record I added an updated version (1.48.0) of the webext-ublock-origin-chromium package to Bodhi's BL7 repo, so our users will have the latest version of they go the route of installing via the webext-ublock-origin-chromium package.

I'm using resolution 1360x768 and scale factor 1.5.
When I click on the shelf notification gadgets, the list of notifications doesn't fit on the screen. If the icon is on a shelf on bottom, that means the newest notifications are not displayed without scrolling up (which is awkward, no scrollbar, gotta hold mouse pointer in just the right place). A similar thing happens with clipboard gadget. If I set the history to 15 (instead of default 20) entries, the popups fit on the screen.
Perhaps the default should be reduced? Of course some advanced way to keep the window from being bigger than the screen and implementing scrollbars or something would and allow any history size setting to fit, but obviously more complicated.

Yep, long term issue with menus we are aware of. Not BL7 problem. Hopefully in BL8 era I will try to fix it. I am thinking about adding up and down arrows and scroll within these boundaries. Needs some investigation and much effort. Apparently falls into "headache" category, lol

Ya I imagined reworking it would be headache, but reducing the default history to 10, 12, or even 15 items (instead of 20 like now) would make those gadget popups far more likely to fit everyone screen automatically, and people who want more history can still increase it. Anyways just an idea for polish, certainly not important, I know not BL7 "problem", just an observation while testing.

This is a screenshot of a notification that originated from Nheko (Matrix Client) being displayed by Moksha. Are those two grey boxes just decoration? They kinda look like buttons......
I really like the overall look.... white text, black background, rounded corners, icon....

I increased the notification time to 15 seconds so I now have had a chance to test and confirm, they are indeed action buttons. The first one will bring me to Nheko and put me in the appropriate channel. The second button doesn't seem to do anything. As to no text, hmmm, probably apps problem, not bodhi? I haven't seen notifications with action buttons before so this is new to me. I'll try to look into it further.
edit: I have since learned, I can bring back the message popups by clicking on a notification in notification history. However, when I do that, it seems to REMOVE it from history?

Almost 2 years old feature I added to Moksha Several years long ago I started using notify-osd on my primary laptop, so hadn't really used the moksha notification gadget much, and I still haven't upgraded it since Bodhi 5.1 (although plan to install 7 on it!). I looked into the nheko notification a bit more. The second action button is supposed to be an "inline reply" and apparently it works on gnome and plasma. I personally tried notify-osd, lxqt-notificationd, and dunst under Bodhi and none of them display anything on the buttons or support inline reply either.

9. Tclock Module: It would be nice to be able to center one line in the shelf when the other is disabled, instead of top half or bottom half only.Tclock request done i.imgur.com/X2F6VSl.jpgStefan

Is anyone else having basic window issues? It's driving me nuts, I guess I need to document a way to repeat it. I think it's as a result of using ibar for switching windows.... the situation is that app is maximized and running fine.... switch around to another app using only ibar.... come back to previously maximized app using ibar, its now in "restore" mode with window bigger than the whole screen..... happens over and over driving me crazy. And that's just the most annoying issue, there's also stuff like ibar launching new instance even when one is already running... for no apperant reason, only happens sometimes, not always. Or trying to switch to an app and it just makes the icon flash. And flash and flash, but not show the friggen app window. I was hoping it was good enough to use as replacement for plank dock, but seems not, just keeps doing various weird unpredictable unrepeatable things.
Is anyone testing these new ibar features or is it only me?

Hmmm, interesting
I tried to reproduce but I can not see it here in BL6. I also tried with your method of only one instance launch in desktop environment. I will check on BL7 a5 in VM. I will keep you informed.
Stefan
EDIT: everything goes as expected in BL7. Are you gonna try erase .e?
