How do you get rid of the desktop silhouette imbedded in thunar, or anything else that uses a dark background.

Not sure what you mean. Maybe a screenshot would help.

Here's a screenshot, if it captured it.
EDIT: removed attachment

Removed attachment as it didn't show that much.
The desktop background image leaves a residual aftereffect in thunar.
Changed background to default and that went away, the residual aftereffects also shows in thunar after watching youtube or paramountplus, none are maximized.
Happen with or without latest nvidia driver.

Ah, I think I know what you mean. I added a tiny border around windows to grab for resize. You should find those borders around all windows.

Youtube/paramountplus videos and the Bodhi background image all leave a black representation of those objects embedded with anything dark related.

I have no clue. None of my machines have that issue so I can not even duplicate it.
Just an idea have you tried a different kernel, perhaps the stock ubuntu LTS kernel (linux-image-generic)? Sounds like an issue with your graphics card or hardware to me.

Even having the default background image, after watching videos, still see the boxes or shadow of their rectangular shapes, even bookmarks are and above that, again, black shadow.
Even went through monitor see if anything, nothing.

if it were me, and trying the standard kernel did't help, I'd try installing picom and run it from menu, see if it resolves anything. If it works to fix things, you might want to try picom-conf (thanks for this ylee btw) to play with video effects from preferences menu.

Installed picom via synaptic, along with picom-conf. Get when clicking picom in accessories.
Error Information: An exit code of 1 was returned from picom.
Output Data: There was no output
Error Logs: There was no error message

What does that exactly do, ComptonMod (is this right), shows green loaded.
EDIT: this shows via terminology, typing picom.
