im not able to direct install bodhi 7 due to the installation dont proceed with a kernel panic caused by my system memory is just 1GB in a hardware limitation can i upgrade it from bodhi 6 to bodhi 7 directly? simple install update-manager-core and run sudo do-release-upgrade and bodhi repository change from focal b6main to jammy b7main? You can rebuild the official Bodhi Linux 7.0 distribution image to use it on low-RAM computer as described here: bodhilinux.boards.net/post/12715/threadPlease note that you should use an improved version of the shell scripts from the package bl70_lowram_v2.tgz ( not bl70_lowram.tgz) in your BL 6.0 system.

Hi everybody, I am wondering if it is a good idea to install the Bodhi 7 on ThinkPad x1 carbon 7th gen. I have Bodhi (not the latest) on X61 and X220 - running great. Now, with this "new" machine I started wondering if all the hardware will actually work... I got a i5-8265U option... the usb-c's and all that modern nonsense I am not as tech-savvy so withouth too much details - will it work or are there too many variables to consider for a quick answer? Thanks!

I have no experience with your device but the best method is just to try to install Bodhi on it. In general I do not expect any issues. If so, we will solve them here Stefan

Hey,
So I have tried Bodhi 7 with live usb - the computer worked just fine with all the fancy stuff going "on" and "off" when triggered. It is the ThinkPad X1 7th gen with i5 and 16GB RAM.
Just letting everybody know.
Thanks, Andy
