There is surely a terminal command to check that that ? You know what that check command is?

Ahhh i found something....
to test and check....:
sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep -i TRIM
A positive result should be:
* Data Set Management TRIM supported * Data Set Management TRIM supported (limit N blocks) * Data Set Management TRIM supported (limit unknown)
The asterix shows then that the option is available..
But to enable if not already is, its geeting a bit difficult... i have to search more for that topic...

Frankly, it is new for me. I own some SSD devices but did not know I can enable Trim feature. I also need to study about that. Maybe someone will be more educated and help you more than me.

Just run it manually every now and then like when you run updates. I run updates at logon and run trim every few or when I remember. It can hurt performance to have it continually run and I suspect it would cause wear on the drive over time.
