right clicking on power icon etc in the main toolbar opens a tooltip that is shown off the screen
Running apt update and upgrade dist, get results saying connections cannot be established
internet is connected, yet no pages can be accessed, dns error.
Too many problems, uninstalling

Forr Issue #1, I think what you're describing is what I consider an annoying way that bodhi does this... but if you get to the right place in that menu with your mouse it will move itself over. Its tricky to figure out how to make it work, but it does work...
For #2, sounds not good, perhaps paste screenshot or copy/paste text into a codeblock so we can see? Screenshots are easy from bodhi, click the corner icon of the window you want and "take shot". Or hit Printscreen key to get the whole screen...

Smart menu orientation will easily solve your problem with menus out of the screen. You just need to enable it. menu->settings->setting_panel->menus->menu_settings->miscellaneous Or simply press ALT ESC and type menus Stefan PS: What a pity your decision to unistall Bodhi was too fast. No chance to help you  |
