e25 locks up all the time with that guru mediation whatever screen for me. i dont think its usable as a regular daily os, i think that iso was just made as demo for testing purposes, not for actual using... maybe im wrong... but basedon playing with it in VM, I wouldn't consider actually installing it on a computer...

Agreed, not on a daily use machine. That’s what moksha is for. Useable E that’s constantly being improved. I’m not sure E will ever be “finished”

Agreed.
Please do not ignore us that find moksha more aesthetically appealing than current E. I am talking about arc dark green theme which is the only i use.
And another important + for me is the warm community in this forum

OK, great you have solved that out. Not sure the invalid UTF-8 could cause the system freeze or even reseting the desktop profile. I need to reproduce the issue. But I need to know which font had you set. S
hi :-)
Oh well.... i dont really remeber have to have a look again, cause i didnt just set some fonts new or so... was deleting some and was changing some things in the systemsettings menu, it was more a desperate "try and do- doesnt matter what will happen" thing. But i will have a look ....

How is your E25 now? Did erasing .e directory help you?

"I was trying the other Bodhi version, same problem and.... it didnt worked with moksha that much fast and great looking like with enlightenment. This is so sad... cause the beta works so fast and smooth and beautyfull"
Can anyone else confirm the above @gini noticed? If it is true, what could be the reasons for e25 being snappier than moksha? Or is it just happening to gini's laptop with the ATI issue?

Hard to tell what happend to gini. Broken system with erased profile only after opening quick launcher is very suspicious. Anyway I faced many seqfaults to E24 in my VM. Enigma also noticed seqs in E25. Frankly, I have never installed E on real HW. I use Moksha on daily basis and I can confirm it is stable as a rock. Any glitch is being fixed immediatelly within days if not hours. Also, new users tend to click on everything, installing lots of new stuff and it could bring some issues. As I said, reporting any E25 issues is very appreciated here for the Bodhi future.

Same here. Never installed e25 on metal. Ofcourse i am aware of stability issues of e25. But e25 being snappier than moksha (and from what gini says the speed difference is noticeable came as a surprise to me, since moksha flies in kind of recent hardware, so how faster can e25 be?). I also do not have a spare machine to install and test e25 so gini's feedback is very important. (Alongside the enthusiasm and the song suggestions posted in an os forum, which is not ordinary and i like anything that is not ordinary)

I am pretty sure e25 is not faster than Moksha in performance. They are about the same and also same with memory usage. Yea, a comparison on real metal would be great to see. I have some machines around but all occupied with Moksha. Yea, gini's enthusiasm is cute. It looks a girl/woman approach is appreciated as well as the E25 feedback Stefan

Hy Stefan
no i didnt delete .e directory cause there were all profiles saved aso... i didnt wanted to risk losing that. I dont know if my later actions solved the problem or not but its alright now again. Very stable. The E25 was fast from the very beginning on , not only after the freeze happening.
The whole response of the system is faster than OSX and a bit faster than Win7 and Win10.
And @all
i installed native not in a VM.

Yes, before i installed the Beta, i installed the Moksha version. The Moksha version was slower in response on my system. Zhe Beta E25 version has more speed on my system. Maybe its an Apple hardware thing? I dont know.
Uhh... it was in the section Lounge.... a kind of OffTopic section...
I did not know that this could possibly cause irritation in an off topic section. Then perhaps I should hold back a little in this regard? No problem.

@gini No, no, please do not miss-understand me. My comment was 1000% positive. Please be yourself in this forum, i am the last that would criticize anyone. I actually listen to all your song suggestions, and i like people that express themselves in any way they feel like (especially if it does not have to do with strictly nerd stuff). I have not any right to say that one should not post anything in this forum. I encourage you though, to continue being yourself, even though this is not also my job in this forum, i am not a moderator. From my understanding, the only request in this forum is to be kind to each other, and help as much as we can each other, i try to do so by ie sharing knowedge i find online related to FOSS, and i personally welcome sharing of music taste. Why not making a subsection in the lounge related to music...

Oh okay...
I was just surprised because you mentioned it at all. Because it has no relation to the topic here.
That's why I'm rather sensitive and cautious. In a forum people meet each other who do not know each other and it may well be that one or the other user is perhaps not accustomed to meet people who are extremely communicative and who are temperamental in their nature, entertaining and not only fixed on a theme. In addition, I think that OT subforums are always important in whatever forum. Because they make the whole forum more human, closer, create the feeling of a community.
