G´day, all!
My name's Gus, and I have just taken my first step away from Windows.
I have been thinking about this for a long time, but it always seemed a bit (or a lot) daunting. Finally, with a little bit of downtime, I decided it was time to dust off an old laptop. I haven't got off to a great start but, hey, things can only improve, right?
I am not a power user, I am just a bloke who likes to get the most from his apps to make life easier, so I'm not afraid to research what I need to do, and I am certainly not too proud to say I don't know something.
So here I am, and now it's time to start you all for advice...
Cheers!

G’day Gus
Welcome to the forums and community. I’m glad Bodhi has come in handy for you. I haven’t bought a laptop (out of necessity) for years now because I don’t need to with Bodhi. Feel free to ask questions, some moksha stuff takes a bit of getting used to until you’re familiar with it then people fall in love with it. Anyway welcome aboard.

Welcome Gus.
"I haven’t bought a laptop (out of necessity) for years now because I don’t need to with Bodhi." Same here. Reasons: quite recent cpus are capable enough for anything (normal usage i am not doing video rendering) Most important: nowadays hardware prices are high and seems all 2022 this will not change. My personal reason: I keep a laptop a bit more makes good to our planet + big tech companies will not get even more ridiculous profit.

Welcome to Bodhi!
If you're new to linux, you should spend a bit of time watching some tutorials on the basics of terminal commands and the apt package manager.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to open a support thread here or drop by the discord and ask us there. We're always willing to help.

For me, switching from Windows to Linux (and quickly thereafter to Bodhi) is like switching from Scotch to Bourbon. I never looked back.
