Perhaps you mean firefox? There are a number of ways to install it yourself, the easiest being pasting this into terminal: sudo apt install firefox
Other ways you could install it include the Bodhi App Center website, or Symantic Package Manager, both found in your Application Menu under System Tools.
Google chrome is proprietary and thus not in official repos, so a little more complicated, and not available for Bodhi Legacy, but for 64-bit Bodhi you can: cd /tmp; wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb && sudo apt install ./google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

Package firefox is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
E: Package 'firefox' has no installation candidate

Body Legacy 5.1 does not offer firefox-esr. The only bodhi that would have that packaged would be 6.0 legacy beta. And if legacy that explains chrome, as mentioned in original post, that's only for 64-bit bodhi Anyways you need to run updates in the first place. Apperantly you've never done that sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

He could also add mintupdate to make his update experience more newbie friendly

Your options are: Y or I : install the package maintainer's version N or O : keep your currently-installed version D : show the differences between the versions Z : start a shell to examine the situation The default action is to keep your current version. *** lsb-release (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

If you dunno the answer, just hit enter (for the default) which in this case is N.
To let you know what that means tho, it means that ubuntu changed the file that says what version it is (because ubuntu went from 20.04.2 to 20.04.3 or something). If you say yes, it'll update you to the ubuntu version of that file, if you say no, it'll keep the bodhi version of that file.
It won't really matter what you press as far as functionality, although some system info tools will then report your OS as Ubuntu 20.04.x in more places (instead of Bodhi 6.x) if you accept that update to the ubuntu version of the file.
On another thread, I saw ylee was looking into how to avoid this particular issue using a trick that mint does, but it really is a non issue, only an issue to new users who dont understand it, and isnce either choice wont break anything, its not critical. In both cases it updated all the actual software, its only referring to the file that contains your version number.

I find it very difficult to understand what you are saying, but it is better to put forward an immediate solution without dialogue I try to understand as much as I can with the help of translators

Comparison doesn't matter to me
