Hello there again Let me introduce my new little project. It is called "Systray on demand" and it shows/hides systray items on user demand. I aimed this feature for various purposes. 1. Hide systray items for users with small laptop screen. It will save some space on the shelf 2. In case users do not like some non-green icons on the systray in ArcGreen theme 3. Just for fun, lol The feature is easy to use with a small arrow button near the systray gadget. It has also "save" function in elegant way. As user leaves the systray (showed/hidden), it will be the same after Moksha restart or Bodhi boot. So no need any options or settings dialogs. Unfortunaly the project is heavily theme related so in case you like this project I should apply it to all maintained themes. If you do not consider it as handy feature, please let me know. It will save my time and energy. www.dropbox.com/s/siw5mlltnza26xt/sys_on_demand.mp4?dl=0Stefan

I like the overall Moksha Arc Green theme but also like a little variety. I changed the software icons to their normal appearance. Here is a screenshot to illustrate.

Is there an option to switch icons for the menu, volume, internet and system control. I can't find it. Most system tray items use icons from your icon theme, some do not, and either use something internal or an icon in a non xdg-specified location. Network is one that does use icons from your icon theme. A couple Moksha gadgets use icons from your icon theme (i.e. clipboard), but most do not. The ones that do not, you can change by changing moksha theme for that particular item, including Start menu, mixer, and syscontrol.
There is also an environment variable you can set to add spacing to both sides of systray to avoid it cutting the far right systray item in half like your picture.
Since then I've settled on using monochrome or white for systray icons and gadgets, and use colorful icons for apps.
(and yes, delayed screenshot timer often appears in my screenshots, at least only 1/3 this time

Yes, as Enigma said you can change some moksha gadgets theme individually. It is possible to combine themes in Theme settings where you can assign theme to particular gadget. Look at this picture to explain: i.imgur.com/ryWefPA.jpgmenu->settings->theme (just click on the theme item. Not themes in submenu!) As far as your systray spacing is concerned you can add the Moksha env variable for bigger one. Follow this instructions: Open env settings and add MOKSHA_SYSTRAY_SPACING with some value. Then restart Moksha. I have very good experience with 4 for 1.5 scalling factor. i.imgur.com/oHGq2Yi.jpgEnjoy

Clicking on Theme never occurred to me. Then to the right in the dialog box is Advanced. Then to the left scroll down the Theme Categories to find the module to be changed. Test the look by clicking Assign and then Apply (or OK). Start all over with the Advanced button to test another look. Kind of felt like a hamster in a wheel after testing a couple dozen of those but it does work. It just takes time with all the menu options. Changed the Start, SysCon and Mixer.

Advanced option has been removed in e24
I took a look in e24 to see what it was replaced with, and not only can I not find a way to customize gadget apperance, color settings are no longer in settings panel either. It appears users can no longer easily customize the look of e24 desktop. I wonder why. Maybe cuz there's no other themes for it anyway? But that wouldn't explain the colors option being removed...

Hi Stephan, This seems like a very useful feature - for those users who have more going on in the systray than I do. I applaud the effort and recognize that it is a useful feature but I probably wouldn't ever think I needed to exercise it.

I am not sure. E is a Raster's baby. I would look at his git with commit label. Maybe it will explain more...
