I'm running a program called Arena Chess GUI. I have both the Windows and Linux versions.
When I close the program, the Linux version gives me an error box:
Execution error Arena Linux stopped running unexpectedly.
For comparison purposes, the Windows version that I run with WINE does not give an error when closing the program.
Also for comparison purposes, I do not get any errors when closing the Linux version with Linux Mint.

Run the app from terminology and see the outcome when you close it.

Run the app from terminology and see the outcome when you close it. Stefan I don't receive that error from the terminal when closing the program. I do get 11 errors within the terminal after starting the program. They are all the same: (Arena_x86_64_linux:43663): Pango-WARNING **: 12:16:03.697: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()Then these errors: [WARNING] SetText called without handle for TurnierTabSheet(TTabSheet) [WARNING] SetText called without handle for TabelleTabSheet(TTabSheet) [WARNING] SetText called without handle for ResultateTabSheet(TTabSheet)
Then 8 more errors of Pango-WARNING. then 6 errors all the same: WARNING: TGtk2WidgetSet.InvalidateRect refused invalidating during paint message: TScrollBoxAfter spitting all that out, taking about 5 seconds, the program runs fine.

Those are not errors but warnings. All probably related to the source code. These outputs do not help me in understanding why you get the close app message. How did you install your application?

Stefan I used the Xarchiver program which automatically loaded when I clicked the tar.gz file and I extracted the files to my home folder.
