It is really strange how really experienced linux users have never heard of bodhi. For miscellaneous purposes. I met bodhi, when i was searching for a lightweight distro, which i was planning to use as my daily driver on my dev machine. I had the privilege to have a desktop for work, and a desktop for everything else. I wanted something stable, not heavy on resources, no bloat apps, since it was just for production, not office usage or entertainment. If i recall well, it was on 2014, 2015... When Jeff left, i searched elsewhere, but since version 6 i am back, to be honest i had also tried version 5, if i recall well, but after an upgrade something broke, i do not remember, anyways i went elsewhere. But bodhi was always on my mind. And my belief is, once with bodhi, you never go back. So far BL 6 is rock solid, and this is all i ask from BL dev team. So i will not leave for sure as far as base 20.04 will receive updates. Next clean install planned on when 20.04 will be eol. Till now i was with another lightweight distro which was based on ubuntu 16.04. But i guess all the above should be on a separate thread, where i introduced myself... To be clear, no offense to anybody, or criticism... Nothing personal. I just do not understand why so many developers i know and respect, are working with a mac laptop for instance... I believe as one searches for the language that will do the job, the code editor or IDE that will better serve one's needs, same should happen with the os of choice, so i spent some significant time looking at distros, new and old. I left vanilla Ubuntu since Unity and never returned...

Hello ligoxi, Glad to have you around and are enjoying Bodhi. And yes I also did not care much for unity Of course, by then I was already playing around with lightweight window managers.

glad everyone in here is so kind and helpful. Open source is not just free software, its also the people around it. wimc you are the proof of what i say, BL is not just for old hardware. It excels in this area, but it also meets ones need for a no nonsense os wow: (9th Gen Intel Core i9 9900 @ 3.1 to 5GHz 64GB DDR4 2666MHz Ram)
