Most know that I have been throwing everything into getting Chirp running on Bodhi and Ubuntu trying to block those Chirp installs or making them more complicated is well known. I had many of the same issues with Chirp on Peppermint. ANYWAY, I did find the PPA to get the removed Chirp dependencies but I am now for some unknown reason experiencing inconsistent internet. And the things related to chirp are about all I have done lately?
Does anyone have any insight? Regards.
I guess I had not run apt update. Apologies.

I am getting inconsistent both Ethernet or wifi. It is reconnecting or failing to connect constantly. All I have done lately is attempt to get Chirp running and doing that via PPA required adding a python specific PPA just for Chirp dependencies. This is the second time I have written this post do to disconnects. Please help.

Apologizes. I did say inconsistent, reconnecting internet. I guess I really was not joking.
Regards.

No worries, it’s happened to me also. I’m following your progress, and I’m no help I’m afraid. However, I did think maybe having both python3 and python2 installed might cause issues, but you would think that other stuff would also be going wonky too if it was that. And that’s about as much use I am to you. I hope you work it out.

Can try, others that see this might have more of an idea. I’m no Linux wizard. 🙂

I am using Ethernet (CAT5) and it disconnects.

It's likely worth checking your router/switch and system for any logs to see what is taking place. Otherwise, try checking out speedtest.net and packetlosstest.com to see some details about your connection, stability, latency, etc.. Other similar websites may provide information. There could be some chance your network card is failing or the PPA added is not stable. Try flushing any caches and renewing your IP address.
Really just spitballing but some ideas to consider. Intermittent issues can be a bummer to diagnose - hopefully we can help!

Are you bumping the wireless off/on switch? Are you 100% sure it also happens when you're on wired internet? I assume its whole network, not just internet, or can you still connect to your router during these outages?
