I've installed touchegg and touche, but don't get any of the actions promised. I was especially interested in the four finger actions that elementaryos has. In fact, I don't see any difference, except systemd reports that touchegg is started and running.

Hi there
Elementary here refers to the WM/DE elementary on which Moksha is based. Easily confused with Elementary OS, Elementary apps are apps written for the Window Manager/Desktop Environment.
I’ll move the post to the support boards where someone will be able to chime in and try and help out.

I gave it a try, but also no obvious response. But my laptop is old (2009), I doubt my touchpad supports pinch or 3 or 4 finger actions. I tested touchegg for both general and for firefox (I didn't test chrome/chromium). I was surprised to discover (while testing this app) that two finger scroll works on my touchpad... I normally keep it disabled and use an external trackball, but turned it on to test this app. From what I gather, touchegg comes preinstalled on elementary OS, but is also supported on plenty of other distros. On touchegg github it says "All hardware supported by libinput is supported by Touchégg" but I assume not every trackpad ever supports pinch/zoom, 3 finger or 4 finger actions - are you sure yours does? One way to test might be to live boot elementary and see, one would assume if its preinstalled it is likely to work if your hardware supports it, but I didn't go that far. Plus, my laptop is still on bodhi 5.1 and their ppa only works for focal or newer, although their release debfiles installed fine, but a possible issue for me. If you are on BL6 that's presumably a non-issue.
