Bodhi Linux 6 can only get a resolution of 640x480, it doesn't have any bigger options for example 800x600 1024x768. Already try with ARandR but only have option 640x480.
Before Bodhi Linux I installed Xubuntu 20.04 and got a resolution of 1024x768.

The computer has processor Sempron 3000 and 3 Gb memory. And it has 128 Mb dedicated to Chipset Video.
Restart after updating Bodhi Linux but resolution remains at 640x480.

Hello It seems your GPU was not recognized properly or your driver is missing. I have found a link with the similar issue. The solution: Create use-vesa.conf file with this content: Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "vesa" EndSection Then place it as superuser to /usr/share/x11/xorg.conf.d sudo mv use-vesa.conf /usr/share/x11/xorg.conf.d Reboot your PC Let's hope it will work for you original link here: ubuntu-mate.community/t/set-sis-graphics-1024x768-l-ubuntu-mate-14-04-and-16-04-16-10/3553Stefan

@stefan Thanks for the explanations and the tip. I'll try at the end of the week.
With the tip above I couldn't solve it because of the Chipset model.

Guys, I managed to solve the problem with the resolution. When Xorg starts Bodhi Linux the first time created a xorg.conf file with basic configuration. The xorg.conf file is configured by default with "vesa" driver, but this way the resolution is 640x480. Follow the link with image. i.postimg.cc/G3VFPNh6/20210717-124823.jpgWhat needs to be done is edit the xorg.conf file and change "vesa" driver by "fbdev". After changing the resolution it will have 1024x768. Follow the link with image. i.postimg.cc/kg4bt3k0/20210717-124520.jpg------------------ Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "fbdev" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Configured Monitor" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" EndSection ------------ I will put the post as resolved, I hope to help other users, thanks.

Very nice. I am glad you sorted that out
It is not easy to give a helping hand when I do not have your hardware here.

Congratulations to the entire Bodhi Linux team for the excellent distribution. Many users still own old computers and notebooks, with Bodhi Linux it is possible.
