Hi I'm new to linux! I have been using it for two months, I started in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but I had too many things and I was very confused, after two weeks I downloaded Linux Mint but it could not be installed, Then I remembered a Linux that I saw in the Cinelerra GG download section. I started with the Bodhi version 5.1 Hwe then I saw that they had a Beta 6.0, Currently using the candidate version! I'm liking it a lot it's a great job with performance! The only Big problem I have is the first program I start dies until I restart Bodhi  Discord sacrifices itself daily  Overall very few problems!  |

Welcome! I was curious what you meant so checked for myself. That "Media" version they list I personally dont know much about, I don't think its maintained by Bodhi Team, but probably endorsed. If you tried it before trying bodhi standard, you probably observed what I'm guessing it is (based on what I just read about it on above link) - a bunch of media apps installed and a theme applied to bodhi.
That is really weird about first program crashing tho. I have discord app running pretty much 24/7 and only reboot occasionally (weeks or more often go by) and the only problem I've noticed with discord is inefficient memory usage. It takes a 3-5 hundred MB just to get started, but check it out a couple weeks later, its using more than a GB. Restart and back to normal. It's not using memory cache correctly or something.

Welcome, glad you’re enjoying Bodhi. As Enigma said that is strange behaviour, I don’t think I’ve experienced that before. If it’s frustrating I’d be tempted to reinstall and see if it happens again, but if it doesn’t bother you too much I guess it’s not worth it. Anyway, again, welcome to the forums and community.
Edit - I didn’t notice that you installed the media version (I wasn’t aware of such a thing). Anyway, ylees post below explains all.

No the Media version of Bodhi linux is not maintained by us, nor really endorsed. I don't mind it, a user merely installed alot of media apps and made an ISO. I don't know for sure if that is all they did, or if some system files have been changed or tweaked or whatnot. Clearly from my Point of view you will get the best results by installing the official standard release. After installation install whatever apps you need. |

Never install "Bodhi linux Media" 3GB was a lot. " Execution error" is my problem, no discord. If I start with Chromiun and it fails. I needed to reboot. Now I see it less, in the first Beta B6 it was constant. |
