In this video I demonstrate putting a firefox shortcut on the Dekstop using Moksha's ibar gadget.
#1 Open Desktop Gadgets [the background layer; I dunno what hover is for]
#2 Add an ibar, apply, move it, resize it as desired [you can right click on it later for settings to get the move/resize window back later] #3 Open ibar Settings [just right click on one of the default icons that appeared on your desktop] #4 Create another contents list [for example call it desktop ibar] #5 Edit contents of that new list to what you want and apply [for example just firefox, it starts the same as default when you first create it so remove those] #6 Set it to use that "deskop ibar" contents list and apply.
You can also turn off or move the labels adjacent, and disable that focus flash if you don't like it, dont forget to apply.
After its created, when you click on an app icon and select add to ibar, it'll show both "default" (the one on your shelf if you still have it) and "desktop ibar", so it will be much quicker to add something else if you want another icon next to it. Or you can add yet another ibar and create a contents list for each individual shortcut if you want to be able to move, resize, or control their options independently.
