Hello there
My name is Štefan Uram from Slovakia and my stupid nick name is the_waiter (it has nothing to do with my personality, but sorta became my trademark, lol). I registered my nick name to old Bodhi forum in 2011 when I found out something like Bodhi Linux did exist. Nobody would expect one day I will be a Bodhi developer. I had zero experiences with Linux world. I really struggled as I switched from Windows and still compared it to Linux. Millions questions, despair, many give ups etc. BUT, I managed it and in 2015 I became an active member of Bodhi linux team. Firstly I was into deb packages, then I improved almost all extra module we maintained, through themes improvements, Moksha code features to Bodhi video tutorials and BL 5.1 trailer.
I had some basic skills with C language but I had experience with VBA language (my office) and Turbo Pascal (university). I devoted too much time to learning new stuff related to Bodhi and made huge progress. After a while we with Jeff and Ylee became friends and only developers, discusing all Bodhi stuff on almost daily basis. I am very glad for mainly Ylee's patience. He has been leading me more than 4 years and I think we created many great new features and we made this beautiful distro alive.
I am also active on discord or LQ forums but often there are guys faster than me who take care of our users. My special thanx goes to enigma907 on discord for answering almost all questions.
Last words: We are a tiny crew with only 2 devs and some guys around on the forum. Our motivation is education, passion and challenges we take during the every project we make. We do our best to keep distro as great as possible. We have our families, jobs, hobbies, duties. It is not easy to maintain such a big project. If you like this project, every donation is highly appreciated
