Hi, Can you guys NOT INSTALL the CLOCK by default, out-the-box, but yet find a way to get to one if I so need it, within a click or 2? ...and the date must be displayed PROMINENTLY!
Thanks.

Hi, Can you guys NOT INSTALL the CLOCK by default, out-the-box, but yet find a way to get to one if I so need it, within a click or 2? ...and the date must be displayed PROMINENTLY! Thanks. I doubt they'd take that away by default, just cuz the time is something most people do expect to be on a desktop. But Moksha is modular - you can remove the clock module immediately if you want. And install the calendar or tclock module to make the date as prominent as you want. Like, how about half the desktop?
On a more serious note, you see the time & date string on the top right? I have that floating above everything; see my customization thread for infos on how I did that. And I have a small calendar module in the bottom right that I can barely read the date on, and click for a calendar.
For the time on click on mouse hover, you could use a tclock module with only the hover box checked, so it normally displays nothing. Or just the date, and when you hover mouse it shows time. All this is possible with Moksha. Tell me exactly what you want and I'll tell you how to do it using Moksha modules... or occasionally something from repos....

Hello
I can not see any sane reason why to remove time gadget. Maybe I only misunderstood the meaning. I tested tens of Linux distros and each one had time or time/date on the shelf or screen.

because I hate being "productive".
I have a clock on my desk AND on my phone ANYWAY (like 99% of the planet!). DATE, yes, I'd love the date somewhere close by, not too many clicks away.....
