I doubt these will be preinstalled in BL6 as the whole Bodhi thing is about minimalism and choice, but if they're not in the ubuntu repos it might be possible to add them to the bodhi repos.

Hello
A software request means something different. It means, we can add/create a new package to our Bodhi repository if official Ubuntu repos lack them. Then you can easily install it. As Hippytaff noticed do not expect apps preinstalled in default Bodhi 6 release.

You could for the time being try and build it from source if itโs open source. Then package a deb file. Who knows it might appear in the repos ๐

Irfanview is a great program. I used it all the way until i stopped using Windows. But it is not open source and the source code is not available. That makes it more or less impossible to port to linux. One could I suppose disassemble it and study it and then work from that or one could just try to duplicate its functionality. But good luck on finding some ppl to do that for you Other than that one can hope the developers of it see the need for a linux port and do it themselves. Again good luck on that. So you're stuck with either using it in Wine or finding a FOSS or otherwise Linux app that meets your needs.

That last message in that ten year old thread recommends gthumb as an alternative to that irfanview, and I see it is still available in repos. But in ten years there must be something newer but I dunno, might be worth checking out gthumb...
I see Blender was included in Bodhi 5.1's apppack, so you mentioning you use it probably helps ensure it'll be there for 6.0. I see the current long-term-stable version was 2.83 released in June, including snap package, but focal repos only offer 2.82, maybe they'll update to that version before bodhi 6 ISO, but in any case it doesnt really matter unless you only use live iso without internet, cuz you can update to the very latest via ppa anytime, version 2.91 available for bionic/focal (bodhi 5 & 6).... sudo add-apt-repository ppa:thomas-schiex/blender
