I have been playing around with some free puter I have acquired and just installed Bodhi
on a Core 2 Quad for fun. Seems that getdeb.bodhilinux.com is down! Unable to update. Have an older machine that I just used eepDater on and it updated fine! No eepDater on this new system even though I used the same install disk. What gives? Themes and other items are not found when I try to install them from www.bodhilinux.com too....

Hi Wolfgang
Welcome to the forums. We'd be happy to help with your issue, but can you provide more details, such as what version of bodih you're using, output of sudo apt-get update etc and post them in the "new user" boards.
Many Thanks Hippytaff

Don't hate me but I discovered that the version I installed was 2.4.1, just burnt and installed latest version. That teaches me not to label distro w/o the revision on them.....
Installed and working as expected, shockingly.

The curse and blessing of computers are that they do exactly what you tell them to do.
I'm using this machine to run old OSes and big iron emulators such as dps8/Multics and ITS on the PDP10 plus other goodies best done on Linux.

Interesting I coded some on a PDP-11 while in college. Revealing my age there

PDP-11? Had not been invented when I left college! <grin> Back then the cheaper engineering colleges taught "slide-rule", bless them. One of the older lads had an abacus, I think?
