I really appreciate this Linux distro and the philosophy behind it. I am decent at python and would like to learn ways I could support the distro and learn more at the same time.

I can't remember, is Bodhi's web browser manager written in python? If so, I seem to recall at one point whoever was working on it gave up, and it would be cool (imo) to add some more browsers to it (like epiphany and badwolf) and make it work for bodhi legacy & debodhi too. I also think at one point someone was working on a replacement for mintupdate, but that didn't work out. Bodhi could use something for that, a util to sit in systray and let you know when updates are available, and allow installing them, maybe even for flatpak too.
Ylee and theWaiter may have better ideas, and certainly check with them before working on my ideas too....

Yes I have a few projects that are in python and need so work, features added et al. I suggest Joining our discord channel and PMing me for details or just messaging me here. (Discord is preferred). Perhaps give me a bit of time as work and other responsibilities limit my time for Bodhi, but I will respond with various things that need work as well as links to the code and so on. Thanks  |
