Hello! I use Bodhi Linux 7 on my old laptop and I know that the video card on it burned out. And today, when I turned on the computer (immediately after entering the password), the monitor began to blink endlessly (and nothing except sleep mode works)
How can I disable and remove drivers that were installed automatically?
(The computer enters Safe Mode through Grab)
The BIOS does not have a function to disable the video card.

Привет! Использую бодхи linux 7 на своём в стареньком ноутбуке знаю,что на нём сгорела видеокарта. И сегодня при включении компьютера (сразу после ввода пароля) Начал бесконечно мигать монитор(при этом ничего кроме спящего режима не работает)
Как мне запретить и удалить драйвера которые установились автоматически?
( В Безопасный режим через граб компьютер заходит)
В BIOS нет функции отключения видеокарты.
Пожалуйста, опишите способ как можно подробнее, я совсем новичок)
Я пользуюсь asus k55dr, видеокарта Amd Radeon

create a conf file in /etc/modprobe.d/ that says "blacklist drivername", then update initramfs, then reboot. If you have multiple drivers you want to prevent loading, then can put multiple lines.

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-amd.conf # edit file then save and exit with CTRL-X
sudo update-initramfs -u
reboot

Example content of file:

blacklist radeon
blacklist amdgpu

I also don't quite understand how this will help tho, probably some things lost in translation, but a laptop doesn't usually have a video card, modern ones often have a gpu integrated on same chip as cpu on main board, older ones had discrete gpu on main board, and some have both. So unless you have two gpu, disabling the only one in bios would make it useless locally (although you could still manage it remotely I guess, use it as a server or something). And if it was a desktop, you could just remove the video card and install a new one (unless you had a gpu on motherboard). But anyways above procedure is how to prevent kernel drivers from loading.

Помню, в винде во вкладке "видеоадаптеры" было две строчки для радеона и напротив - значок будильника.

Как мне найти точное имя файла драйвера в системе? Извините, я совершенно новичок в Linux.

You can find the filenames of the videodriver kernel modules "radeon" and "ati" using this command:

$ modinfo -F filename radeon ati

But I'm not sure what you will do next.

I think the best way in your case is to disable kernel videodrivers using "nomodeset" parameter as described here (English) or here (Russian).

P.S. Note that X Window System (the background of the Moksha Desktop Environment) uses its own video drivers and should be configured in a special way.
