Hi, I'm new here. I just installed Bodhi on VMware. It's really great: lightweight and fast. I'm truly impressed by the dev team. Everything seemed fine until I installed and launched Firefox. As soon as I opened Youtube, everything froze up. Not just Firefox, but the entire VMware system crashed. And now, I can't even shut it down properly. Every attempt to do so results in the following message: Error while powering off: Failed to power off the virtual machine.
I've tried various Linux versions before, but this is the first time I've encountered such an issue. It seems to be specific to Bodhi and not VMware or my system. What could be causing this issue, and how can I resolve it? Thanks in advance.

Install lxtask on your main system and force a shutdown of vmware, it looks like Firefox is trying to check for hardware acceleration and stalling the vm session. Run your vm session once more and in a terminal window do 'firefox -safe-mode' to run without hardware acceleration enabled, then in settings turn it off so you cn run it normally.
Note: VirtualBox allows for virtualbox additions to be installed that lets your system use accelerated 3d properly.
