Hello everyone, I was given a ten year old laptop by my daughter that was collecting dust. I cleaned it inside and out and decided it would be great to use it as a music and video player. I have over 1500 CDs ripped to an old hard drive and lots of DVDs ripped to another hard drive. I was looking for a Linux distro that was minimal in bloatware but sleek enough to use for my watching and listening needs. I did my research and Bodhi seemed to be a perfect fit for me. As a novice to Linux I've received great help and advice from people to set up Bodhi for my needs. Especially when it's come to using the Terminal and entering commands etc. I think I've entered a great place in the Bodhi community and I thank you for the help already received and that which I'm sure I'll receive in the future.
Much love and respect from Alan D West Yorkshire England

Welcome to Bodhi!
I've been using Linux for 25 years and Bodhi is one of the best.

Welcome, Alan. Feel free to ask questions. You might get answers. Bodhi seems to be perfect for an old laptop and your use case. Have fun.
