For some reason, KeyRing has appeared whenever I run the Brave browser (have to press ESC three times to get rid of it), and Synaptic (pressing ESC there causes Synaptic to NOT run). I don't really know why KeyRing only recently started showing up starting a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, it's been ages since I dealt with it, so if someone could tell remind me how to disable (preferably safely remove) KeyRing it'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Press enter when it asks you to set a password. Then it'll say something about "are you sure you want a blank password" or whatever, but just move forward. Then next time it won't ask for a password again.
If brave installed the keyring software, it probably requires the secret service, so you can't remove it and expect brave to keep working.
If you already set a password for something, you can install 'seahorse' to manage and change em to nothing.

Got it! Installed Seahorse and that does the trick. I was stunned from lack of morning coffee and wasn't paying attention to the fact that was the regular password prompt. For some reason it looked like a Key Ring prompt to me. Probably stunned from a lack of coffee. Anyway, all seems to be well.
