Has anyone installed DisplayLink drivers to use a USB display?
I am running into a problem installing DisplayLink drivers on a fresh installation of Bodhi 7.0.0. I am trying to set up my USB display (Mobile Pixels Duex Pro). The manual directs you to displaylink.com and there are instructions for installing on Ubuntu but I get the following: ------------------------------------------------------- Setting up displaylink-driver (5.8.0-33) ...
Reboot required DisplayLink driver installed successfully. Please reboot your computer to ensure the proper functioning of the software,
logname: no login name logname: no login name dpkg: error processing package displaylink-driver (--configure): installed displaylink-driver package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: displaylink-driver E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have also tried installing using the Synaptic Package Manager and nothing.
I reboot and plug in the display. It powers on and then just stays black, It worked 2 days ago, when my laptop was Windows 11. Unfortunately I am not as familiar with Linux as I would like. I am working on that, and banished Windows 11 to a VM.
