Gang,
I am just curious as to why there is a Kernel difference between the Bodhi Standard ISO and the AppPack ISO, re:
Bodhi Linux Standard 7.0.0 release features a 5.15.0-78 kernel version Bodhi Linux AppPack 7.0.0 release features a 5.4.0-156 kernel version
I would have thought if Standard and AppPack shared a common Kernel your maintenance would be easier. In the end I am just curious as to the "why" of things. I find it fascinating.
Kindest regards,
The Scarlet Pimpernel

My guess is the app pack was released a little while later than standard. But there could be more to it than that.

It seems it was done on purpose so now I'm curious why.... Linux 5.4 was previously for Bodhi 6 (and is now hwe for bodhi 5.1). Even today I have 5.4.0-167 on my Bodhi 5.1 machine, but seems the 7.0 apppack version isn't getting kernel updates and permanently on 5.4.0-156. Also noticed build-essential still installed linux-libc-dev for 5.15 but dunno if that affects anything.
