Hi all, I have a Garmin satnav which needs updating and needs 15gb of memory. I have a dual boot Geobook running BodhiLinux and Windoze 10. Trying to update the Garmin using Win10 tells me I don't have enough space on the c: drive. Disk manager (Win) won't let me expand the Win partition, nor will GParted (under Linux) although it seems I have plenty of space in the fifth partition. Any ideas please? Secondly, I have a pc running LinuxMint (no Win) with plenty of memory so I installed Wine, and GarminExpress.exe, which Wine doesn't seem to like - a known problem apparently. Any whizzkids out there please? As a drastic measure, on the Geobook I suppose I could uninstall, and later after the Garmin update reinstall, Bodhi, but would that automatically give Windoze the whole disk to play with? Obvs this would be a last resort...

You probably can't resize partitions you want because the empty space isn't next to the partition you want to expand? Just guessing tho.
Anyway if you cannot free enough space on your existing windows install, I suggest install a windows virtual machine under linux. That's what I did to program my harmony remote control and worked fine.

OK thanks for reminding me. I'd completely forgotten about that! Will try later.

Oh well, that didn't work. Installed a virtual Windoze, downloaded the Garmin software which happily installed, but of course that nice Mr Gates' chief invention keeps itself very much to itself and only recognises its own c: drive, not the usb socket into which I have plugged the satnav. Thanks anyway for the suggestion, I might as well keep Win10 (free, gratis and for nothing) slumbering in the bowels of my wonderful Linux pc.

You do have to set the usb device to belong to the VM....
