Hi all, I've just been given an old (2012) MacBook Air and as OsX is running like lard thought I'd give Boshi Linux a go (I've previously run Ubuntu/Mac in dual boot mode a quite a few years ago now). The Live Install worked fine, connected to my wifi and I was able to do pretty much anything I wanted to do so thought I'd go ahead and install it. However the installer has now been stuck on 'preparing ubuntu_drivers' for well over an hour (by comparison it probably took me half an hour max to download the .iso, burn it to a Flash drive and boot to the Live Install). Should I persist or quit and try again. Also, if I choose the second should I not worry about the 'Install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware' option?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sorry for the noob questions. I've now quit the installer and re-launched it without the 'install third-party software' option. It installed fine, however I now can't find a way to install the 3rd party options (in the wiki it says further instructions provided, but I can't find them). Any pointers appreciated.

If you pop into a terminal window you can type:
sudo ubuntu-drivers devices sudo ubuntu-drivers list sudo ubuntu-drivers install
The first shows you devices that have 3rd party drivers, second lists options, 3rd installs driver. Hope it helps.

Hi tenplus1, thanks for the reply. I'd already stumbled upon the the 3rd command above and used that, but it was good to see from the first two what it actually did.
