Hi I have been trying and trying to change the default cursors icons that are a bit...eh The procedure I followed is this:
First from settings I made sure that X rather than moksha is selected then I downloaded a new theme and unpacked it is /usr/share/icons/
Then I symlinked /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme to the index.theme I wanted to use
The cursor changed correctly but at reboot it was the default one again.
I then removed the alternatives symlink from etc/alternatives
Again the cursor worked but at reboot it was gone...
I then tried lxappearance route..no effects whatsoever
it seems I am unable to make the change stick...any suggestion?

amaurot - In terminal I typed 'sudo apt install breeze-cursor-theme' and changed cursor to X in settings, it worked and breeze looked a lot better.
