Hi,
The latest versions of Brave give problems with libvulkan. Is this related to the latests Bodhi Linux 7.0 or more of a Brave issue?
Error messages I get when running Brave. $ brave-browser [3325:3325:0922/111246.829632:ERROR:policy_logger.cc(154)] :components/enterprise/browser/controller/chrome_browser_cloud_management_controller.cc(163) Cloud management controller initialization aborted as CBCM is not enabled. After installing update over update, Brave still crashes. Removed Brave and using Chromium for now.

I installed brave with the Web Browser Manager application and it's been working fine for me.
I'm just giving it a guess that maybe if you installed it via Synaptic or something it might not work. (I'm a user, not an expert – I'm just throwing that out there as a possibility)

I don't think that would matter. If you tried to install brave-browser with synaptic (or apt) on a clean bodhi install, it would not be in any configured repository (it wouldn't be found). The web browser manager adds a repository (PPA), then installs brave like a normal system package. It would be the same if you added the repo, then installed with synaptic or apt.

Just a wild stab in the dark on my part. Don't really know if that would make a difference; but it might ...

After installing update over update, Brave still crashes. Removed Brave and using Chromium for now. Have you tried turning off hardware acceleration in Brave? To turn off hardware acceleration in Brave: menu-->settings-->system--> ...on the right toggle hardware acceleration off and then restart Cheers, The Scarlet Pimpernel

To turn off hardware acceleration in Brave: menu-->settings-->system--> ...on the right toggle hardware acceleration off and then restart Brave doesn't come that far. It starts, shows an empty page and then crashes. I tried to start brave via the command line: $ brave-browser --disable-gpu result, still crashes. Kind regards, Marcel

How did you install Brave? Via the Web browser manager. Initial the browser worked fine. After the updates the browser started crashing.

Solved! The emmc drive in the Lenovo Ideapad is dying. Added a 256GB M2 drive, installed Bodhi and is running fine now. Brave also runs fine on my "new" Toshiba Sattelite. My wifes previous laptop, to slow for windows 10. With the i3 processor (4 cores), 3GB memory and 320GB drive Bodhi flies .
