Bodhi was installed on my oldest (2009) PC as a way of extending its useful life, unfortunately it isn't plain sailing. The PC only has 4gb RAM, plus 128gb SSD for the operating system and a couple of hard disks for data, but sometimes Bodhi doesn't react. e.g. The first time I try to launch Thunar, after booting, nothing happens for several minutes. Can I do anything to speed up program startup? Thanks in advance, Steve Attachments:sysinfo.txt (3.3 KB)

Hello. Have you checked your ISO md5 file after downloading? You can also open terminology and type dmesg to see some logs.

No I haven't checked the checksum. Thunar takes 4 minutes to start everytime I reboot. I have the output from dmesg, but I have no idea what to look for and can't seem to attach it to this post. Thanks Steve

You can copy and paste if that’s easier. In terminology you can highlight the text and right click to copy, or do ctrl+shift+c.

If you run it from terminal and get a gtk3 warning, you can install xapp to get rid of the warning, but I don't think its an actual problem; thunar should start almost instantly regardless.
