Hi guys!
My new notebook - running Bodhi 6.1 of course - comes with two graphic controllers:
1. an intel one on the motherboard using the i915 driver
2. an extra Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 ("25a2") initally using the nouveau driver which I replaced by a Nvidia driver.
Btw: the driver recommended via ubuntu-drivers devices "nvidia-driver-530-open" didn't work on my machine; it needs the "nvidia-driver-530".

Before switching to the Nvidia driver the graphic worked by far to slow:
At this time I could solve this by adding a "nomodeset" to the boot managemers (grub and grub.bodhi).
After installing the Nvidia driver, however, I ran into a new issue: booting the notebook ended up in a black screen. I had to reinstall Bodhi.
The solution was: 1. starting with the "nomodeset" setting to be able to work at all, 2. installing the Nvidia driver and 3. removing the "nomodeset" before rebooting.
Now everything works well so far. For this I assume it's relevant that the "Nvidia Prime Profile" setting is put to "Performance mode". To my understanding this means that only the GeForce with it's driver is working; the Intel and the i915 are not working at any time!?
My question is: would it make sense to switch the Nvidia settings to "On-Demand"?
- I think it would save energy.
- I read that switching the mode in Ubuntu wouldn't work as Ubuntu would always choose the "Performance mode" no matter what I put it. I wonder if this is true and true for Bodhi, too.
- I fear that the "Dual mode" would bring back the screen issues: without "nomodeset" I might get the slow screen (as long as the Intel is working) / with "nomodeset" I might get the black screen (right from the beginning).
Of course I could just try it but I would prefer tweaking Bodhi's theme instead of risking another black screen...

Thanks a lot guys
