How do you test it? I would like to reproduce your problem. I assume you need Chinese or Japanese layout. Am I right?

He may only need to set some specific environment variables for this to work.
By the way, xim is the default input method in standard EFL (other choices are scim and ibus). I don't know if it's the same for the Moksha environment.

I've tried that:
#~/.xinitrc #~/.profile #~/.xprofile #export XIM_PROGRAM="fcitx" #export XIM="fcitx" #export XIM_ARGS="-d" #export ECORE_IMF_MODULE="xim" #export GTK_IM_MODULE="fcitx" #export QT_IM_MODULE="fcitx" #export XMODIFIERS="@im=fcitx" It''s not working.

Have you seen my method in video? yes
i didn't try with ibus-pinyin. maybe later.
i use fcitx + rime now.
with the video:
unload keyboard module load language module setting input method with fcitx
it cannot switch the input method in terminology window, even if it can popup the select menu of the input methods by right click the icon in the tray while the terminology window is active.
