Friends,
Please be patient with me, I am a n00b. I am wondering if this feature is currently available in Chromium?
Your friend,
Tom

It is not. Google stopped allowing login from other chromium browsers a year or so ago. If you want to sign into google, must use google chrome. Alternatively Firefox allows sign in, and a few other browsers use that too.

Thank you, enigma9o7, for confirmation. (I understand these n00b questions are tedious, but the point of asking is to remove any doubt in the mind, because doubt is a source of anxiety.) I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I wouldn't consider myself a noob, but had I experienced this problem, I'd have had to ask myself - simply because I'm usually using Firefox and just assumed that it'd be browser independent. No need to apologize.

Hello xpistian, The doubt in my mind, is because I am learning from "Bodhi Linux 6: The Complete Guide for Beginners"; at the time of writing, this feature was available in Chromium. (I wonder why Google disabled it?) I need it to be understood that I am not apologising for asking the question, but I am aware of wasting the developers' time. Issue resolved. Moving on. Peace, Tom

I assumed google disabled it to encourage people to use their browser. The actual shutoff date was March 15, 2021 in Chromium version 89. It's not just chromium, it's all chromium based browsers like microsoft edge and vivaldi and brave and such. Some of those have switched to firefox sync now. Epiphany browser also uses firefox sync. If you're interested in reading about it, here's a few links: www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2021/01/chromium-sync-google-api-removed blog.chromium.org/2021/01/limiting-private-api-availability-in.html
You can always install official google-chrome-stable (on 64-bit bodhi) if you want access to all google's proprietary features including sync (and voice search, etc).
