I am encountering some issues with my Bodhi linux distribution. When I start my computer, it always shows a white screen, usually when the refresh rate is incorrectly set. So, I need to press a key on the keyboard for it to show the Acer logo and, after that, press a key again for grub to start. I'm not sure what could be going on, as this is my first time using this distro. I would be very grateful for any help. My computer is an Acer Aspire One d270.
Best regards

Hello and welcome
Your PC is related to Bodhi Linux after grub procedure in boot process. When you start your PC, BIOS takes care of the process. What was your previous OS? Did you see the same?

I thought only CRT monitors had variable refresh rate? I thought flat panels were always 60Hz (other than very fancy new ones I guess). When you say you have to press a key to make it start, is that any key? Or a particular key? The sceen is just pure white until you do so? Usually the first thing BIOS does is count memory, and pressing Esc can make it skip that test and move along....
But anyways just a comment, like Stefan said if this happens before bios even starts booting the OS, then nothing to do with the OS. You could unplug the hard drive to be sure.
