Sorry if my question sound stupid, but how many PC/Laptop/Tablet do you have?
I'm curious to see if someone has the same "problem": I keep on buying cheap hardware that I do not need. I have more than 10 notebook that I use to test OSs and upgrades. When I find something acceptable for 30-40 euro, I cannot resist. It's not a big issue, I know, but please tell me that I'm not alone in this club.

I've got four. An old HP business pentium 4 in the back room, that was my old work desktop I brought home when it was retired, that nobody uses much now but I have fun maintaining and playing with. My daughters use old desktops I originally put together years before they were born; one on a really old single core amd athlon64, and the other a not-quite-as-old quad core amd phenom ii.
And me, I use an old first gen i7 sony laptop.

We have too many but reluctant to let them go.
Newest first
Wifes Acer 17" gaming laptop (will never play a game but it was a high spec machine at a bargain price) running Win 11
My Dell tower running Win 11
RasPi400 running Linux - Ubuntu Mate (bought it to use as a desktop replacement and Raspberry Pi OS did not quite cut it)
2011 Toshiba with 2nd Gen i3 processor running Linux.
2010 Dell laptop that is just a screen and motherboard really. Have used the ram and HD in other projects. 2 mother board failures before it was 4 years old showed what a total load of tat it was.
2008 Dell laptop running Win 10 22H2 dual booted with Win XP. Tried to run Linux but there is probably an issue with the NVIDEA card and newer kernels. Not tried too hard to sort since I still need XP to access the ECU on the race car and the mapping software.
2002 Dell laptop with Win XP. Tried Ubuntu on it back in about 2012 but display became intermittent shortly after. Probably not a Ubuntu issue and with only 512mb memory, a 20gb HD and an ancient Intel processor its truly scrap. It does actually dual boot with a version of Puppy on the HD but since I did that in about 2014 its probably not safe to use now.
1996 Toshiba laptop with Windows 3.11. Still booted when I tried it 7 years ago when we moved house. 8mb ram and 528mb HD.
Late 80's Amstrad PPC 640. No HD but dual 3.5" floppy drives. Ran DOS 3.1 from a floppy which loaded into RAM, then ran spreadsheet (Multiplan) or Word Processor (WS200) from a floppy. Still worked when I booted it 7 years ago when we moved house.

Three laptops, although one doesn’t switch on anymore but I haven’t got rid of it, and the other one strictly speaking is my partners but she never uses it and I do. A raspberry-pi and a server plus a desktop that I bought about 4 years ago with a broken gpu that I still haven’t repaired.

I didn't think of old broken disassembled machines... I still have a 25MHz compaq contura aero 486 subnotebook somewhere.... probably never gunna use that again, can't even remember what's wrong with it, just never got rid of it. It was my first laptop, and pretty cool for it's time, quite small, built in trackball. They sold for quite expensive but I got it quite cheap... at the time I worked in the service department at a computer shop, and we did warranty work for a few brands including compaq, which had 3 year warranty and the date code was in the serial number, so you could tell if something was under warranty easily. Anyways one day happened across that contura aero at a garage sale or thrift shop or something where it was broken and super cheap, and me knowing it was under warranty, bought it, and then got paid to fixed it for myself under warranty This was back in the day before IDE logical block addressing so 512MB was the biggest hard drive addressable, I put one of those in there and maxed out the ram at 20MB, and put win95 on it. I also have some accessories for it... a panasonic parallel to scsci adapter and a panasonic external scsci cdrom drive.... pcmcia external floppy drive... pcmcia modem + lan card, and of course the custom leather carrying case. But, I never tried linux on it.

I´ve also an Aspire One ( 752 ) in good conditions. I´ve got it without hd, but unfortunately a special cable is needed, to install one, and it costs 25 euro. I´ve installed Bodhi 32bit on a SD card, and it works ok.

I´ve installed Bodhi 32bit on a SD card, and it works ok. I have an Aspire One also. It was the one with the chip storage and no real hard drive. The chip died so I installed an Ipod hard drive with a ziff (tiff?) ribbon and it runs on some older version of Bodhi because I still like the look of ecomorph. My list of computers goes like this: 4 laptops. 1 HTPC built years ago with some super low wattage board that runs an Athlon quad core processor with a laptop brick. Super low heat doesn't need any fans and whisper quiet. Ran a few different distributions that use Kodi. 1 raspberry pi. Super old. Ran the HTPC setup with it for a while and then had a Bodhi desktop on it for a while now I'm not even sure where it's hiding.
