Hello all,
I have seen several videos showing how to remove DRM from Kindle books in Windows, but this is the only one I have seen using Linux.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T794U_yahM
He uses Wine with the EXE file of an older version of Kindle for PC, as part of the process.
This is completely legal to use for ebooks you have already bought, and for your own personal use.
Another way to do this is to use an old Kindle reader device, if you have one. Send the files to the ereader by USB, then import them into Calibre for DRM removal and file conversion. In Windows, you have to double-click on the DRM plug in, where you are then prompted to enter the serial number of the device.
From what I hear, this may no longer work for ebooks published in 2023.
Please give me your feedback, and any other ideas. Thanks.
