OK, my first issue. I use plank and a quick launcher, but it has a black box and when hovering over an icon, rather than the title it gives another black box instead of the title.
I tried running compton, but all that achieved was to put a horizontal black line on the screen. Is there a way to get it displaying properly, or a better quick launcher? TIA

Hello Maybe I need some more info to be able help you. I need a screenshot or screencast. If I understand you have black boxes with quick launcher as well as plank? BTW what you mean with "quick launcher"? iBar or quick laucher available by pressing ALT ESC? What Bodhi version are you using? Have you performed system upgrade? We have made many changes to Moksha. Maybe it needs upgrade to last repo one. Stefan EDIT: check this new feature to Moksha. It will be available in BL 7 release. bodhilinux.boards.net/thread/1317/new-moksha-feature-ibar-menu

Maybe load Compton to enable transparency if you haven’t already.

Transparency or rounded corners in plank dock do require picom.
If you're looking for an alternative dock, there's a fancier one called cairo. (Although I personally prefer the simplicity of Plank.).

My compton module is based on picom. I thought he installed it and enabled. Maybe I was wrong In case of trying
sudo apt update sudo apt install moksha-module-compton
in menu->settings->modules in look tab enable Compton
