Hi, I downloaded the latest version of Bodhi to a usb and it booted fine. I was getting flickering when I had two windows open on the same screen (I had three in total). I disabled one monitor and that seemed to fix the flickering problem. I then ran an update and dist-upgrade. I've now rebooted and there is a terrible input lag and a "crumbling" effect on every window. I can revert to before the update/dist-upgrade but I'd rather fix the problem than never have to upgrade. Appreciate any help troubleshooting. Thanks in advance.

Hello If you have the AppPack version, I'm sure it comes with Picom enabled. This may be causing problems with windows and you could try disabling it.
The module is "ComptonMod" You could also use this command in terminology.
moksha -module-disable comptonmod

Thank you. I tried that and it returned nothing. Is that right? Also it did not seem to have an effect. Do I need to reboot?

Output reads: Module -- Status clipboard -- Enabled tasks -- Enabled systray -- Enabled places -- Enabled gadman -- Enabled shot -- Enabled notification -- Enabled syscon -- Enabled start -- Enabled ibar -- Enabled clock -- Enabled pager -- Enabled winlist -- Enabled conf -- Enabled conf_applications -- Enabled conf_dialogs -- Enabled conf_display -- Enabled conf_intl -- Enabled conf_keybindings -- Enabled conf_menus -- Enabled conf_paths -- Enabled conf_edgebindings -- Enabled conf_performance -- Enabled conf_shelves -- Enabled conf_theme -- Enabled conf_window_manipulation -- Enabled conf_interaction -- Enabled conf_window_remembers -- Enabled mixer -- Enabled everything -- Enabled
Interestingly I just opened Chromium to paste in this reply and there is no lag at all in Chromium

Well it's something to do with video driver, so I guess start by making sure that's all setup right.
Maybe share the output of "inxi -G" which'll show what kinda video card and driver you're using and maybe "ubuntu-drivers list" will show what 3rd party drivers are available.
Not sure tho.

inxi -G Graphics: Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 630 driver: i915 v: kernel Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.13 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev, vesa resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz, 1280x1024~60Hz Message: Unable to show advanced data. Required tool glxinfo missing.
ubuntu-drivers list Nothing returned
Note, I clicked on Picom and the crumbling seems to have disappeared but there is still a small lag on the desktop. Looks like I need to do something additional with the above output?

Looks like I need to do something additional with the above output? Yes, I also had problems with intel. You will be able to configure Picom this is the current route.
sudo leafpad /etc/compton.conf try to edit the backend
xrender uses CPU glx uses the GPU
backend="glx";
save
enable comptonmod module
----
Also if you don't want picom you could use this guide for intel.
If it works for you, you could also add DRI3, it slightly increases performance.
Option "DRI" "3"
