Haiku ( www.haiku-os.org/) is not Linux but another lightweight POSIX-partially-compatible OS with pretty GUI. It works on 32-bit and 64-bit AMD and Intel CPUs and requires at least 384 Mb RAM and 3 Gb storage. Unfortunately it is single-user and you cannot create different accounts for the users. But it seems to be suit for a personal laptop. Haiku Beta 4 was released at the end of the 2022 year.

I’ve played with haiku a bit. I found it lacked applications but that’s because it’s not gnu/Linux or BSD, but it’s own thing entirely, which in its self is very impressive.

Played around with HaikuOS in VM, but I am not much for alpha or beta using.
Even ran BeOS years and years ago.

Haiku has been in beta for years.
After BeOS, been following Haiku since.
I'm even a member of HaikuOS forum. But, mostly reading main site.
I like it though, its different, but waiting for full version, whenever that'll be.
