I have bodhi linux 5 (32bit) installed on an old Asus eeepc (1GB ram). In this environment I am running the commercial software transcribe! for slowing down music. When I want to open a new file to work with, the software opens the files window as usual, but the screen shows only the middle of the window: the left side with the tree for browsing locations is missing, the controls on the top bar are out of reach. it looks like the screen was created for a large display, and all what does not fit on the existing 10" monitor is cut off.
I assume that this a bodhi problem because I have the same software running normally on my regular pc under Linux mint. This problem also occurs when opening the file dialogue from other softwares, eg when I try to add an attachment to this message. Any suggestions what I could try?

Hold down alt, move the file-select-dialog window so you can see the corner, resize it. It'll remember for next time.
My understanding is this problem is resolved in newer Bodhi versions.
