I experience the following problem since I replaced Ubuntu (there is worked normal) by Bodhi Linux:
1. I connect a USB Device (e.g. eReader) via USB. 2. Device is automatically mounted. 3. I try unmount it via Thunar, or command line: no message from the system at all, device keeps being mounted. 4. I try to eject (via Thunar): "There is data that needs to be written..." (which is definetely not the case, done nothing with the device, nothing is written on it).
Any idea what could be the problem?
Thank you!

Instead of Thunar see if you can get at it from the terminal.
First "df" and see what the mounted name is, like: /media/username/disk Then umount /media/....
see if that works.
