Installed bodhi-7.0.0-64-s76alpha4.iso in virtualbox.
Just casual use right now though.

You did not reply to my question related to theme and wallpaper in general. If I understand you like the idea but with these minor tweaks... Stefan arc-darker =the best

Hello
I had the same problem with viber application. I did some research and this is the solution: Exec=QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="" /opt/viber/Viber %u Replace Exec=/opt/viber/Viber %u with above command in viber desktop file (/usr/share/applications/viber.desktop)

Never been one to try Beta software let alone Alpha releases but felt I needed to try Bodhi 7 and see if it works on my old laptop.
For the record its a Dell Vostro 1700 from 2008 with a Core 2 Duo T8100 processor and 2gb ram. Its worked with Bodhi 6 fine but other distros with newer kernels (all supposed to be suited to older hardware) I have tried have locked up and the only way out has been to press the power button and kill them.
So created a USB using Rufus and the DD option and the tried it live. All went well, interweb connected and browser worked so ready to do an install. Used a 250 gb HD dating from 2010 (so not the fastest and all went smoothly. Turned off the laptop and then back on again and it came strait to the desktop. I enabled UFW at this point and did a update and upgrade, still all OK.
Then installed Chromium and Ublock, still fine (but getting nervous now). Tried playing a video on BBC news and the video and sound were perfect.
Next was Libre Office which is fine and then LXTask.
Time for a reboot.
Started fine again and ram use was about 246 mb at idle (Bodhi 6 is about 226 mb).
Added user and installed simplescan. All works a treat.
And that is where we are now. Typing on it now and so far its been stable enough to use as a daily driver.
Only issue I have found is probably not really an issue, Printer support does not appear to be working and its nice to be able to use the old printer.
So tops marks so far. If its this good now how good will it be when its finally released.
Please note I am not a power user, just want the old Vostro to work as long as possible with a supported distro and hopefully it looks like I should be OK for a few more years.
Thanks very much.

Okay, so I finally got a replacement power supply for my laptop so I could try to figure out how I previously set ibar to launch immediately in enlightenment. Even tho I knew it was something in settings panel I looked thru and couldn't find it without asking #e again, and even the first time I asked people didn't know how to do it so I had to ask again, this time successfully!
The obscure setting to make ibar switch immediately to already open window, instead of opening new ones:
Settings Panel --> Apps --> Desktop Environment --> Only launch single instances
And, it works on BL7 already!!! However I suggest moving the checkbox, or a copy of it, to ibar settings, cuz it is very hard to guess what it's for where it is....
And thanks for adding the terminology new window, it was ready for me immediately!

Tell us more about this old printer? There appears to be no bodhi-printing package in BL7.

Hmm, I tried this. Really did not know we have this feature. Anyway, I did not find a way how to open another instance and cycle between them. It is apparently impossible with this option. It means it behaves differently than Plank. Stefan

It means it behaves differently than Plank. Stefan Indeed, different thank plank, which uses middle click to open a new instance. With ibar, you must right click and select it from menu, and it must have an alternate exec line defined in the desktop file. Many apps are already setup that way; thunar has a few; terminology's wasn't until the most recent update. Now when you right click on the icon, there is "New Window" there now (if it isn't, run your updates)! But now one thing is similar to plank is left click will open to an already open instance and not a new one. You can still hover and select from popups if you have that enabled and want to select a specific instance. I just set it myself so will do further testing, but seems okay to me.

I added bodhi-printing atfer fixing its packagelist for BL7 Not all packages in the BL6 repos are in the BL7 repo yet. This is a minor issue and will be fixed in time.

I noticed, there was a problem with desktop icons preview. Bad popup window size with bad x,y coordinates. After some research I found my previous E port related to filepreview widget which solved video preview glitches. I spent on fix the whole evening and almost night. Image fixed, video fixed. As bonus I added meta file (album cover) for audio files (E port with some adjustments). Enjoy Stefan

Carried out update and dist-upgrade again. Printer support now installed and working. Next on my to do list is e-mails and then Family History. Thanks again for your work.

Installed Thunderbird which works perfectly.
That means Bodhi 7 does all my daily tasks.
Tried opening jpegs, fine. Tried videos, MP4's work in the browser, earlier camera ones don't, any suggestion for the best app?
One comment, on startup sometimes the Bodhi screen comes up while its loading (before signing in), sometimes its just the word BODHI with 3 dots under. Whatever happens it works the same after signing in, just seems a bit hit and miss.
