Hello and welcome.
I fondly recall the first time I sat in front of a Linux distro desktop (Ubuntu) and wondered: "What on earth do I do with this?"
You may find you quickly abandon other OS's in favour of Linux. That is not inevitable, of course. Each to his or her own, at the end of the day.
