I have decided to try this section of Linux in order to become a bit familiar with its kernel. I have worked mostly with Windows since '92 and a small percentage of my time with Apple. I found an old i5 laptop and decided to install this open source OS and learn as much as I can, thanks.

Welcome to the forum and community jmedalv, it’s great you chose to give Bodhi a chance to prove itself. Let us know what you think.

Welcome jmedalv - Bodhi Linux is a great place to learn Linux. Being so lightweight lends it naturally to setting up virtual machines to run instances of Bodhi Linux you can break/bork without breaking/borking the system overall. Running bare metal is fun too. I recommend taking decent notes of your configuration as you build it - it makes rebuilding so much easier, should things go awry. Anyway, have fun exploring and see you around.
