Always get what images show, first image I have nothing that should auto mount.
2nd image shows when doing an right-click unmount.
3rd image, after right-click unmount to eject, or 2nd image.
--- NOTE: After a shut down or restart, USB stick mounts correctly, then unmount, eject, place USB stick back in, above 2nd and 3rd image happens. This has been bugging me for awhile, decided to speak out, sorta of speak. Thanks
EDIT: I am using PCManFM, don't much care for Thunar.
EDIT2: happens with Thunar also.

I do not have an answer for pcmanfm or thunar apps but using places module on the screen with automount option and eject button never let me down.

Moksha has a module called "places" you can set to mount USB drives on insert. I don't have it checked in this screenshot, and it appears it's not enabled by default on BL6:
Thunar also has a similar setting under volume management, but that doesn't seem to be enabled either. So I'm not sure how BL6 is mounting USB drives actually...
For BL5, pcmanfm is set to mount them:

Thanks enigma9o7, kinda new, but had to be sure what I was looking was it. Makes no difference if any of them are selected or not. Think I am NOT buying Dell anymore, if what I think may be happening, this will be the 2nd computer that the USB ports fail.

Tried something else, with the 1st image enigma9o7 posted, selected Mount volumes on insert only, after places module load. 2nd image, enigma9o7 posted, selected only the 2nd option. I get the 2nd error message in the first post, when I select Mount volumes on insert in the 1st image enigma9o7 posted.
I am lost to what is actually is going on.
EDIT: no matter settings anywhere, USB sticks still fail with my 2nd first post error image. Sticks as in 3 of them.
Fail to mount or unmount correctly, still view/edit/add files to the USB sticks without issues.
Moved this thread to The Lounge forum, as it has nothing to do with Bodhi.

Yes, I can confirm something is wrong. Eject in places module does not work correctly. I even saw wimc's autentification password request. I need to do some research.

OK, lets try this trick:
Create a file /etc/polkit-1/rules.d/10-udisks2.rules with the following content:
polkit.addRule(function(action, subject) { if (action.id == "org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-unmount-others") { return "yes"; } });
save file and restart PC

Done and testing.
EDIT: 30 minutes into testing, so far seems to work. Using 3 USB sticks, at the same time or individuality. Nothing is auto mounted.

I only briefly tested this solution. In my case the automount is gone but no password for unmount. Maybe some guys can offer a better solution than me...

Been roughly 2 hours, seems to be okay.
By the way, I always have auto mount disabled.

I got the authentication password request again this morning, restarted and went away.
Still think this computer USB ports are failing and/or sticks are going bad.
Whatever the case, not buying Dell anymore, especially if the USB ports fail, this would make it 2 computers in a row.

May not be USB ports, rather than USB sticks themselves. I destroyed 4 USB sticks suspecting of them being bad ones.
Already had other USB sticks, and so far, everything is fine. More time is needed though to see.
